AFTERCARE

***please inform us of any allergies/sensitivities prior to tattooing you.***

CONSULT A DOCTOR AT ANY SIGN OF INFECTION.

If your tattoo artist applies a derm shield adhesive wrap: Between 8-24 hours after the tattoo procedure, remove the wrapping in the shower or under running water. Remove any other tattoo wraps after 1 hour and wash accordingly as below.

Gently wash with running warm water and an antibacterial unscented liquid soap and air dry the area.

- Do not pat or rub.

- Do not use bar soaps.

- Do this a minimum of 2-3 times a day

Once totally dry apply a thin layer of unscented lotion or other suggested product with clean hands

- 3- 4 times a day or as needed

Stay away from the beach, sunlight, swimming pools, baths, and tanning booths until your tattoo is completely healed completely. (14 days minimum).

- Do not soak or submerge your tattoo; no baths or swimming, etc, until your tattoo is fully healed. Showers are fine in warm water.

- Do not rub or pick the area while it is healing. Loss of color/irritation/scarring/infection could occur.

- Extreme sun exposure over the years can and will fade your tattoo. This can be minimized by using a strong sunscreen daily, at least SP25 once the tattoo is healed.

Your tattoo should look healed in approximately 2 weeks. FULL HEAL IS APPROX 4 WEEKS. Remember everyone is different.

NOTE: Avoid tight fitting clothing for 2 weeks. If your tattoo becomes stuck to fabric such as your clothing or bed sheets, it is important not to rip the fabric off. First wet the fabric, and then gently lift if from the tattoo.
